Our team of international judges
The jury of Aufguss WM is composed of experienced sauna and show Aufguss professionals from across the world. Each member brings a defined area of expertise, such as classic Aufguss technique, choreography, storytelling, heat management, or overall show composition.
The Jury President is Martijn Vanhoorelbeke, who also leads national and international jury training programs to ensure consistent standards and evaluation quality worldwide. In addition to the international jury, a broad network of certified jury members supports national competitions in their respective countries.

Jury Training
Each year, Aufguss WM organizes official jury training sessions at different international locations, led by Jury President Martijn Vanhoorelbeke. During these sessions, judges are introduced to the updated Jury Catalog, where criteria, scoring methodology, and structural refinements are explained in detail to ensure consistency and transparency across all competitions.
In addition to reviewing the evaluation framework, participants receive practical training with the official jury tool, including scoring simulations and calibration exercises that align interpretation and judgment. This annual training guarantees a precise, fair, and professional assessment standard at both national and international levels.
