From 15 to 21 September 2025, the eyes of the sauna world were on Aquardens Spa in Verona, where the Aufguss World Championship 2025 took place. This year’s edition will be remembered as one of the most spectacular yet, not only for its outstanding performances but also for the official opening of the Sauna del Deserto, now the largest sauna in the world with space for up to 360 guests.
A Historic Opening
The championship began with a day of celebration. Guests witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Sauna del Deserto, followed by live shows, fireworks, and music. The new venue offered the perfect stage for a week of world-class Aufguss, combining art, emotion, and wellness in a way never seen before.
Months of Preparation on Display
For the contenders, Aufguss WM 2025 was the culmination of months of hard work. Behind every performance were hours of building props, planning and rehearsing choreography, composing and editing music, designing DMX light shows, and recording video. Each show represented not only a performance but the dedication of teams and individuals striving to deliver unforgettable experiences.
The Competition
Over the course of the week, singles and teams from across the globe took to the stage, presenting a remarkable variety of concepts, storytelling, and technical mastery. The jury, made up of 12 experienced members from different countries, evaluated every performance with precision.
In the end, the results crowned new world champions while also highlighting the depth of talent across the field:
- Singles Champion: 🇳🇱 Sigrid van Rijswijk with False Fortune
- Team Champions: 🇨🇿 Robert Židek, Barbora Brožová & Gábor Tapolcai with Our Fair Lady
