TechnoAlpin’s know-how is no coincidence. The company, headquartered in Bolzano, Italy, has been making snow on ski slopes and trails around the world for 30 years and is the world market leader in this field. SNOWROOM
The SNOWROOM provides guests with a unique experience when cooling down. Filled with real snow at -10°C, this room offers scientifically-backed benefits such as improved mental health, detoxification, fat burning, and pain relief. The dry cold ensures efficient and gentle cooling of the entire body, including the respiratory tract, organs, and brain cells. The skin cools uniformly without tissue damage, making the experience invigorating, relaxing, and regenerative.
Guests can take portions of snow, allowing them to regulate the amount of cold they wish to experience. Whether they prefer just breathing the cold air and cooling down through the room’s cold temperatures or massaging additional snow onto their skin, the body cools down gradually. This slow onset of cold sensation makes the experience easy to handle and enjoyable for everyone.
SNOWSKY
SNOWSKY offers a captivating way to experience cold in contrast therapy. Falling snow at room temperature, complemented by cold light, revitalizes the spirit and transforms any space into a serene, eye-catching environment. The magical process of water turning into snow induces a grounding, calming effect. Snowflakes land softly on warm skin, melting slowly and creating a unique bond between body and nature.
Resource-saving concepts
Snow not only represents a natural and fascinating element but also provides an efficient way of cooling down. With SNOWSKY, only about 11 litres of water per hour are needed. To provide context, a water-saving shower uses an average of 10-12 litres per minute.
The SNOWROOM uses only 200 litres of water per week, made possible by the patented snow nozzle that produces snow with a volume five times greater than the water used, maximizing efficiency and minimizing resource consumption. An interesting aspect is that the energy used to cool the SNOWROOM can be thermally recovered and reused, for example, to heat a nearby pool—an ideal solution for spa areas.
